Brief

Due to a restructure in the leadership team a new role was created. After the client unsuccessfully tried to recruit the role the Research and Sourcing Team were engaged to assess the passive market to identify any suitable candidates who met their specific requirements including;

  • Proven inclusive, non directive leadership style to ensure the ability to up-skill team leaders
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, operations or food technology
  • Extensive food manufacturing experience

Role based in Palmerston North

Tailored Solution

1. Research Strategy Plan. Developed a candidate profile and a list of potential sources and keywords to search.

2. Company List Research (Location specific). Used Boolean strings, Google secrets and other search engines, as well as utilising up-to-date company directories, published business magazines and resources.

3. Candidate Name Generation. Cyber sleuthing online communities, deep internet mining and other media and phone based research approaches undertaken.

4. Candidate Qualification. Confidential phone conversations to screen and evaluate suitability and interest.

5. Candidates short-listed for OCG Recruitment Consultant to review. Consultant further evaluates, selects and shortlists for the client.

Outcome

The following results were achieved over a 12 working day timeframe;

  • 45 relevant companies researched - nationwide
  • 213 passive candidates identified
  • 23 passive candidates contacted
  • 4 candidates referred to the OCG consultant
  • 2 Interviewed and presented as a long list to the client by OCG

1 candidate was chosen to be interviewed by the client. This candidate was subsequently offered and accepted the position. This person came through as a referral when speaking to one of the 23 candidates approached
